Chapter IV: The Spindle of Destiny

There is one more thing I must mention here: the spindle of destiny. When I listen to the voice of the essence of self, I move in a direction that is in balance with myself. Attentiveness to the signals of the body, supported by a strong sense of my own values, gives true survival signals: not the false ones based on fear, but the true ones that lead further. Thanks to this I can follow the spindle and truly live, not only survive. Below I will try to answer what the meaning of our life is and why it is not about achieving pleasure.FacebookDownload image

We have gone through Safety, Love and Curiosity. Opening to ourselves and to others leads us to follow our inner purpose. Destiny. I will describe a certain situation. I will call it a few coincidences, although I do not believe that such a thing exists. Whether I follow what I am meant to do at a given moment depends on my presence and closeness with myself.FacebookDownload image

I was at a Christian concert. By chance. I was sitting on a lounger. I was observing a little, meditating a little. I was testing something new: awareness behind my back, at the level of the solar plexus, the same place that I found through the exercise with the eyes, which I described earlier. This causes an opening to life.FacebookDownload image

People began to come toward me, as if I were attracting them. I thought to myself that this space and the essence of my voice is what Christians called the Holy Spirit. That is, being in harmony with the universe and following the path marked out by the inner voice, the same path that in chapter six I called the spindle of destiny.FacebookDownload image

Meditation, that is, sinking into oneself in the area of the solar plexus, has one more effect. It is like opening a gate to receiving. In a certain sense, the opening can be felt in the body. A signal flows from the place between the shoulder blades to the head. The eyes seem to open wider. A smile appears on the lips. A readiness to go with the flow. I was meditating, just like the day before, and waiting with curiosity to see what would happen.FacebookDownload image

Two people from Africa came up to me. The women wanted to talk about Jesus. They asked a few questions. I answered all of them in the affirmative. I asked whether they could tell me about the Holy Spirit, because that was exactly what I had been thinking about. They said they would read me a certain quotation from the Bible, from Hebrews 4:12:FacebookDownload image

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."FacebookDownload image

Let us, with a bit of courage, replace "the word of God" with "awareness within oneself", in spirit and soul, and in joints and marrow. In the ego and in the voice of one's own self, in the muscles and in the DNA. Attentiveness to oneself and to one's surroundings, listening in the emptiness to the depth of one's voice, attentiveness to the body and the epigenetic influence of meditation. The same epigenetic influence that I wrote about in chapter five, when describing traumas stored in the genes of the family.FacebookDownload image

They said it is worth being in the center of oneself so that the Holy Spirit may guide. Just then, one of them said that she had felt she wanted to come up to me. She said to her friend: "Let's go to him." I shared my experience that I wanted to be in the center and open to whatever would come, and that to get to this place I had to be deep, in the center of myself. I think that thanks to this I was in the right psychophysical state and was affecting my surroundings with my field.FacebookDownload image
